Parliament

  1. The Winter session of Parliament is to start on November 16 and end on December 16, 2016.
  2. The day would be a Unification Day as all the opposition parties have decided to come together against Modi.
  3. Modi is a great cementing force! Earlier he brought Lalu – Nitish together, and now Mamata – CPM and Mulayam – Mayawati are keen to work together.
  4. These once bitter allies agreeing to come together against Namo is very surprising.
  5. The agenda for the upcoming session would include the recent demonetization, One Rank One Pension (OROP), consumer protection, citizenship and Surrogacy issues.
  6. The Consumer Protection Bill would help in redressal of consumer complaints and in taking action against misleading advertisements. Recall the Maggi issue.
  7. The Citizenship Bill proposes that illegal migrants belonging to Hindu , Sikh, Jain etc communities from Afghanistan, Bangladesh and Pakistan can apply for Indian citizenship.
  8. Inside the Parliament, opposition is expected to corner the government particularly on the Demonetization drive as it is only thing where they find ‘Public Interest’.
  9. Outside the Parliament, PM would be greeted with a warm cough by the Muffler man Arvind Kejriwal!
  10. In or Out, ultimately ‘The People’ are the ones to suffer left, right and the centre if Parliament is constantly adjourned and precious legislative time is wasted in settling political scores.
